Chelsea progress

Another exhibition of the resilience in the Chelsea camp as a late Michael Essien strike completed a spirited comeback and fired them into the Champions League semi final.

7 goal Man Utd will claim the plaudits, but make no mistake Chelsea's win at the Mestella is one of the best European performances of modern times.

There is an almost ineveitability about Chelsea wins at the moment, with their big players coming into their own at a crucial time of the season. Added to that the emerging presence of Jon Obi Mikel who was magnificent in the holding midfield role, and Joe Cole looking sprightly after injury and Mourinho has the recipe for unprecedented glory.

Unfortunately from a trading point of view I didn't get involved in the game but did recommend laying Valencia both pre match and also at HT, so hope you got on and trousered a nice profit.
