Belgium were big outsiders against Portugal, but their physical approach has unsettled the Portuguese.
Big names Nani and Manuel Fernandes have failed to deliver in the 1st 45 minutes and Portugal are fortunate to be on level terms at the break.
Belgian centre forward Mirallis has been extremely impressive leading the line on his own ably supported by Martens, Blondel and the abrasive Vertonghen.
Trading on reputation is a dangerous game which I used to my advantage in La Liga earlier in the season when opposing Barca and Real Madrid, so I should have steered clear of backing Portugal this evening.
Never mind, I am still in the game and hopefully Portugal can't get any worse in the 2nd period.
Belgium have put a lot of effort in so far, pressing all over the pitch, flying into tackles and playing at a high tempo - hopefully from a trading perspective they will tire in the 2nd half - but make no mistake they have been good to watch and have some talented players who we will hear more of on the European scene in the next few years.
