U21 Tournament comes to life

Holland booked their place in the semi final with an entertaining 2-1 win against Portugal.

A first half penalty from Babel handed Holland the lead at the interval and I steamed into the over 2.5 goals market at Half Time.

The pacy NAC Breda striker Rigters doubled the lead with a neat near post finish after good work from the excellent Royston Drenthe.

Portugal suddenly sprung to life and a stunning free kick, curled in left footed by playmaker Veloso halved the arrears.

Unfortunately Portugal may pay the penalty for their negative approach in the opening stages of the tournament and could well be eliminated even if they beat a poor Israeli side in their final game.

A decent night for the Football Trader, as I backed Holland to win, Ryan Babel to score and over 2.5 goals.

My trading on the U21 championships is back on track and I will be listening to my own advice in future and not getting involved in the first round of group matches in major tournaments.
