As predicted by the Football trader almost a month ago (29/4) David Beckham has been handed a recall to the England squad for the friendly vs Brazil and the Euro '08 qualifier against Estonia.
Goldenballs has been playing well in a resurgent Madrid side, and with concerns about the fitness and form of Lennon and Wright-Phillips, Steve McClaren has buckled under media pressure.
Whether Beckham will actually be selected to start the games is open to question, but it would be a fitting tribute to the former England captain to be involved in the 1st international at the new Wembley Stadium.
Anyone who watched the England B international last night againt Albania would have seen Beckham's heir apparent David Bentley stake a major claim for the wide right role, and he now looks like getting an exended run in the full squad.
