Man City do no seem in a particular hurry to appoint a new manager. Nearly £200,000 has been matched on www.Betfair.com on this market so far.
Claudio Ranieri has headed the market for over a week now, but the longer the appointment takes the more he drifts.
Currently available at 2.72, my fellow blogger at www.cloningarteta.blogspot.com seems to have read the market correctly by laying the Tinkerman at skinny odds.
There does seem to be some money for Lyon boss Gerarrd Houillier who is now clear second favourite at 5.2
I have had a small involvement with Paul Jewell and Jean Tigana at fancy prices, but also will make a small profit if favourite Ranieri is installed at Eastlands.
With the departure of Distin and the likely exit of Joey Barton whoever takes the job will do well to keep City away from the relegation scrap next season
