West Ham have the chance to complete their great escape today, and look more than capable of getting the point they require at Old Trafford.
United are an usually big price for a home Premiership win (1.79 on www.betfair.com) and despite all the talk of playing a strong side today, it will be interesting to see how many starters make the FA Cup final 11 next week.
Carlos Tevez, the illegal inspiration behind West Ham's dramatic upturn in form could well be playing his last match for the Hammers, and whilst controversy still surrounds the Argentinian, i he does leave Upton Park, I hope he gets snapped up by another Premiership club in the summer.
Sheffield Utd and Wigan meet at Bramall Lane, and one of these clubs will go down if West Ham get the requitred result.
Wigan have had a shocking run of results lately and are favourites to go down (1.45). Paul Jewell will try and inspire some last day heroics and you never know what could happen on a day of tension like today.
Sheffield Utd have a good home record and will be backed by a large support, but that brings it's own problems. They looked nervous at home when they scraped past Watford a couple of weeks ago, and they could end up as the fall guys.
I won't be in the trading chair until about 4.15pm today, so by then the relegation fightmay already have been setlled, but I have given my advice below:
Recommendation: Try a speculative punt on Sheffield Utd to go down - they are far too big a price at 8.20. Wigan are priced at 3.45 to win the match, and if they do I would expect the Blades to drop into the bottom 3.
