Keane favourite to replace Sir Alex

With Man Utd on the verge of winning the League title or the first time in 4 years, it may be a strange time to focus on who is going to replace Sir Alex Ferguson.

However I read some interesting comments last night about Fergie's record.

Would the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan stick with a manager who has delivered just one European Cup in over a decade?

Rafa Benitez has made 2 finals in 3 years wth Livepool and has spent far less than Ferguson.

If the Glazers do decide that a new man could get more out of United's resources on the European stage, punters think that Roy Keane should be given the job.

A quick look at www.Betfair.com shows that his amazing first season in charge of Sunderland has impressed punters and he is priced at 6.00 favourite.

Only 2 other contenders have single figure quotes Martin O Neill (9.00) and Mark Hughes (9.20).

Although I wouldn't advise tieing up any money in this market, I can't see past Keane as Fergies successor.
