Negative Mourinho pays the price

A strange night of trading on the Liverpool v Chelsea game, despite reading the script of a Liverpool win and the match going to extra time and penalties, I still managed to lose money on the night!

I hope anyone reading this blog managed to make some profits tonight, but it's back to the drawing board for my trading strategy.

As for the match itself, Mourinho's tactics cost Chelsea a place in the Final and flaws in the 'Special One' are becoming all the more apparent.

The streak of negativity within him lead him to play Mikel and Makalele as holding midfielders and deprived then of Michael Essien's drive in midfield.

One away goal would have been enough to take the tie, but instead of trying to finish the job Chelsea shut up shop and played for penalties.

So Liverpool book their place in Athens and I expect a repeat of the 2005 final with AC Milan, but there will be more drama in the San Siro tomorrow night
